Fitness, Recreation and social events
At Two Rivers Lodge, we offer many programs that help you stay fit, enjoy leisure activities and be entertained.
Our state-of-the-art fitness facility is a fitness lover’s dream. Whether you're an avid fitness junkie, or just looking to start hitting the gym; there is something here for everyone. Check out the bulletin boards or the interactive communications TV outside the gym for activities or any classes you would like to sign up for (e.g. kickboxing, yoga, intramural sports and more).
Features include:
Cardio/fitness room - treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, recumbent cycles, rowing machine, exercise balls and yoga mats.
Weight room - universal gyms, dumbbell racks, adjustable incline benches, bench presses, leg extension, seated leg curl, seated leg press, abductor, lat pull, abdominal machine, vertical press, shoulder press, triceps machine and bicep machine.
Gymnasium - movable spectator bench seat, retractable basketball nets, volleyball nets, badminton nets and electronic scoreboard.
Our recreation coordinators are trained in class instruction, nutrition counselling, personal training, facilitating events and equipment safety inspections.
Outdoor Activities - In addition to the Fitness and Recreation Centre, there are a number of outdoor recreational amenities. Walking/running gravel path is available, as well as fenced asphalt tennis courts with nets and a multi-purpose grass field. Outdoor activities are season and weather dependent.
Schedules will be posted throughout the Lodge for the various leagues and tournaments available for participation.
Coordinated activities available include baseball/slow pitch, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Come join us for some fun outdoor activities!
Leisure and Entertainment
The ATCO Two Rivers team facilitates leisure events such as:
- BBQ's
- Paint night
- Trivia night
- Themed craft events
- Self-defence classes
And don't forget to take in the latest movies in our theatre, which is equipped with image and sound technology that rivals that of commercial theatres.
Community Engagement
We organize Indigenous cultural events with support from the nearby community which help to educate project workers of the history and culture of the area. We also host Indigenous Markets within the lodge for local vendors to sell their pieces at site and you can also find them in The Market Commissary.
Those who wish to worship or relax in peaceful ambience can visit our spiritual room and outdoor teepee.
